Second Blog Post

  Microsoft Word is the only program I want to be using. I used it all throughout my student career and I’ve never known anything else (nor do I want to). I’m comfortable with Word and I can navigate it relatively well. I’m not really tech-savvy so I’m never excited to learn a completely new program. Out of all the educational standards, I think I resonate with learner the most. In an ever-evolving technological age, we all have to adapt to the up-and-up. The younger generations will continue to evolve/adapt/learn faster than the older generation and it is our responsibility as educators to keep up with them (or at least try to). The standard of “learner” is one of adaptation and curiosity, which is what teachers ought to be especially in this day and age. Technology can be incredibly useful in schooling, and I can’t possibly imagine what future tech has in store, but I know that it is our responsibility to continue to learn and utilize information for the betterment of our students an

First Blog Post

Hello bloggers :) My name is Skyler and I am in my undergraduate at Florida State University. This blog will follow my journey through educational technology via my EME2040 class. I am a psychology major but I hope to pursue a masters in education. I enjoy reading, playing the drums, watching movies, and playing an obscene amount of videogames.  In an ever-expanding and improving technological age, I've seen a lot different technology used throughout my schooling. From basic programs to classroom games to virtual reality lessons, I've bared witness to it all. However I've never used such technology as someone interested in becoming an educator, my experience is only that of a student.
